Modern Tile Removal Methods – DUSTCUFF™ Technology (Dust free tile removal)

When we started our dust free tile removal business the timing was great. There was really no push from any government agency to cut back and limit the dust in the workplace. Literally, we were self motivated to provide a superior tile removal method for our clients, their home and our workers. We were able to take our time and perfect our dust free tile removal attachment.

All of this is changing fast! OSHA rules are becoming extremely strict! Likely you are becoming aware of the new Silica Rule that will come into play in 2017. How will tile and demolition contractors implement the new OSHA ruling? At the time of this post we are approx 1 year away from the rule taking effect, we highly recommend taking action now to provide a healthier environment for your workers and clients.

DUSTCUFF™ is working hard to make it easier for contractors to comply with the new OSHA silica dust rule during tile demolitions. We are making available both our DUSTCUFF MAX™ and DUSTCUFF PLUS™ dust extraction-collection attachments for SDS MAX and SDS PLUS chipping hammers.

The following Blog post will be showing you how to set up your chipping hammer, whether its an SDS Plus or SDS Max, with our DUSTCUFF™ attachment. The DUSTCUFF™ is an easy solution to a big, dust, problem.

DUSTCUFF™ VS Tile Removal (Dust Free)

Its amazing to see the recent changes in the contractors mindset today. Dust and worker safety is now a top priority. Many contractors want to eliminate the dust because of new and coming EPA regulations requiring workers to be protected from dust and an unhealthy work environment. Many ask the question, “How can my company meet EPA rules when removing tile is so dusty?”

Long before EPA regulations the concept of DUSTCUFF™ was being paved. The motivation was the desire to have a cleaner work environment on our personal job sites during the demolition phase of tile removal. Our company became highly successful at this task and soon became known as “Clean Tile Removal”  because of the ability to offer dust free/dustless tile removals.

Now our years of research and development are available to you, whether you are a small-large contracting firm, or you are looking to do a DIY tile removal project at home, you will benefit from our experience when you use DUSTCUFF™.

In our next post we will share a video of the results you can achieve using DUSTCUFF™ on your tile removal projects.

Below is what typical tile removal will look like without DUSTCUFF™ technology.
